Take ၏ အသုံးအႏႈန္းမ်ား

Take [teik] -(pt) took [tuk]: (ptp) taken -(v)

1. (often with down, out etc) to reach out for
    and grasp, hold, lift, pull etc:
  လွမ္း၍ယူသည္။ ဆုပ္ကိုင္သည္။   မယူသည္။ ဆဲြယူသည္။
    He took my hand. ကၽြန္ေတာ့္   လက္ကို သူဖမ္းကိုင္သည္။
    He took the book down from the shelf. သူသည္ စာအုပ္စင္ေပၚမွ   စာအုပ္ကို    လွမ္းယူသည္။
    He opened the drawer and took out a gun. သူ အံဆဲြဖြင့္၍   ေသနတ္ကို ဆဲြထုတ္သည္။
    I've had a tooth taken out.  ကၽြန္ေတာ့္ သြားတစ္ေခ်ာင္းကို   ႏုတ္လိုက္ျပီ။

2. (often with away, in, off, out etc) to carry,
    conduct or lead to another place: သယ္ေဆာင္သည္။ ေခၚေဆာင္သည္။

I took the books (back) to the library.  စာအုပ္မ်ားကို စာၾကည့္တိုက္သို႕   ကၽြန္ေတာ္ ျပန္သယ္သြားသည္။    

He's taking me with him. ကၽြန္ေတာ့္ကို သူေခၚသြားလိမ့္မယ္။

Take her into my office. သူ႕ကို   ကၽြန္ေတာ့္႐ံုးခန္းထဲေခၚခဲ့ပါ။

The police took him away. ရဲတို႕က သူ႕ကိုေခၚသြားျပီ။    

I took the dog out for a walk. ကၽြန္ေတာ္ ေခြးကို လမ္းေလွၽာက္   ထြက္ဖို႕ ေခၚသြားတယ္။    

He took her out for dinner. သူသည္ မိန္းကေလးကို   ညစာျဖင့္ျပဳစုရန္ ေခၚသြားသည္။

3. to do or perform some action:
  အမႈ တစ္စံုတစ္ရာေဆာင္႐ြက္သည္။    

I think I'll take walk. ငါလမ္းေလွၽာက္ထြက္မယ္   စိတ္ကူးတယ္။    

Will you take a look? မင္းၾကည့္မလား။    

to take a bath. ေရခ်ိဳးသည္။

4. to get, receive, buy, rent etc:
  ရရွိသည္။ လက္ခံရရွိသည္။   ၀ယ္ယူသည္။ ငွားရမ္းယူသည္။    

I'm taking French lessons. ငါျပင္သစ္စာေလ့လာေနတယ္။    

I'll take three kilos of strawberries.  စေတာ္ဘယ္ရီ သံုးကီလိုယူမယ္။    

We took a house in London. လန္ဒန္ျမိဳ႕က အိမ္တစ္အိမ္ကို   ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို႕ငွားသည္။

5. (sometimes with back) to agree to have;
    to accept: သေဘာတူသည္။   လက္ခံသည္။    

He took my advice. သူ ကၽြန္ေတာ့္အၾကံဉာဏ္ကို   လက္ခံသည္။    

They refused to take responsibility. သူတို႕က တာ၀န္ယူရန္   ျငင္းဆိုသည္။    

I won't take that (insult) from you!  မင္းငါ့ကို မေစာ္ကားနဲ႕။    

I'm afraid we can't take back goods bought in a sale. ၀ယ္ျပီးသား   ပစၥည္းေတြကိုကၽြန္ေတာ္တို႕   လက္မခံႏိုင္ပါဘူး၊ အားေတာ့နာပါရဲ့။

6. to need or require: လိုအပ္သည္။    

How long does it take you to go home? အိမ္ကိုျပန္ရင္   အခ်ိန္ဘယ္ေလာက္ၾကာသလဲ။    

It takes time to do a difficult job like this. ဤကဲ့သို႕ ခက္ခဲေသာ   အလုပ္ကို လုပ္ရန္အခ်ိန္ယူရသည္။

7. to travel by (bus etc): ခရီးသြားသည္။    

I'm taking the next train to Pyay. ျပည္ကို ကၽြန္ေတာ္ ေနာက္ရထားႏွင့္   သြားမည္။

I took a taxi. ကၽြန္ေတာ္   အငွားကားနဲ႕သြားတယ္။

8. to have enough space for: ဆံ့သည္။
    The car takes five people. ဤကားက လူငါးေယာက္ဆံ့သည္။
9. to make a note, record etc.  မွတ္သားသည္၊ မွတ္တမ္းျပဳသည္။
    He took a photograph of the castle. သူသည္ ရဲတိုက္ကို   ဓာတ္ပံု႐ိုက္သည္။

    The nurse took the patient's temperature. သူနာျပဳ   ဆရာမသည္ လူနာ၏   ကိုယ္ပူခ်ိန္ကိုတိုင္းသည္။

10. to remove, use, occupy etc with or without permission:
   ခြင့္ျပဳခ်က္မရွိဘဲ ဖယ္ရွားသည္၊    အသံုးျပဳသည္၊ သိမ္းပိုက္သည္။
   Someone's taken my coat. ကၽြန္ေတာ့္ကုတ္အက်ႌကို    တစ္ေယာက္ေယာက္ယူသြားျပီ။
   He took all my money. ကၽြန္ေတာ့္ေငြအားလံုးကို    သူယူသြားသည္။
11. to consider (as an example): (နမူနာအျဖစ္) သေဘာထားသည္၊    ယူဆသည္။
      Take Ko Ko for example. ကိုကို႕ကို နမူနာအေနနဲ႕ ၾကည့္။
12. to capture or win: လက္၀ယ္ရရွိသည္။    အႏိုင္ရသည္။
      He took the first prize. သူ ပထမဆု ဆြတ္ခူးသြားသည္။
13. (often with away, from, off) to make less or smaller by a certain amount:
   ထုတ္ယူသည္။ ႏုတ္သည္။
    Take (away) four from ten, and that leaves six. တစ္ဆယ္ထဲမွ    ေလးႏုတ္လွၽင္ ေျခာက္က်န္သည္။
14. to suppose or think (that something is the case) : ထင္မွတ္သည္။    ယူဆသည္။
      Do you take me for an idiot?  မင္းက ငါ့ကို ငတံုးလို႕မ်ားထင္သလား။
15. to eat or drink: စားသည္။ ေသာက္သည္။
      Take these pills.  ဒီေဆးလံုးေတြကို ေသာက္လိုက္။
16. to conduct, lead or run; to be in charge or control of :
   စီမံေဆာင္ရြက္သည္။    တာ၀န္ခံသည္။ ကြပ္ကဲသည္။
  Will you take the class this evening? ဒီညေန ဒီအတန္းကို ယူေပးမလား။
17. to consider or react or behave to (something) in a certain way:
   စဥ္းစားသည္။ တံု႕ျပန္သည္။    ျပဳမူသည္။
   He took the news calmly. သူသည္ သတင္းကို    တည္တည္ျငိမ္ျငိမ္လက္ခံသည္။
18. to feel: ခံစားသည္။
     He took pride in his work. သူသည္အလုပ္တြင္ဂုဏ္ယူသည္။
19. to go down or go into (a road): လမ္းအတိုင္းေလွၽာက္သြားသည္။
      Take the second road on the left. လက္၀ဲဘက္က ဒုတိယ    လမ္းခ်ိဳးအတိုင္းသြားပါ။

    -(n)
1. the amount of money taken in a shop etc: (ဆိုင္တြင္) ေရာင္းရေငြ။
   What was the take today?  ဒီေန႕ေရာင္းရေငြဘယ္ေလာက္လဲ။
2. the filming of a single scene in a cinema film:  ႐ုပ္ရွင္႐ိုက္ကြက္ တစ္ကြက္ကို   ႐ိုက္ကူးျခင္း။
    After five takes, the director was satisfied.  ႐ိုက္ကြက္ကို ငါးခါျပန္႐ိုက္ျပီးေနာက္   ဒါ႐ိုက္တာေက်နပ္သြားသည္။ See bring.

    taker (n)
    a person who takes (something) esp one who accepts an offer or takes a bet:
  လက္ခံသူ။ ယူသူ။
   takings (n) (pl)
    the amount of money taken at a concert, in a shop etc: ကပဲြ၊ ေစ်းဆိုင္   စသည္တြင္ေရာင္းရေငြ။
    the day's takings. ဒီေန႕တစ္ေန႕တာေရာင္းရေငြ။

    'take-away (n)
    (Amer 'carry-out or 'take-out)
1. food prepared and bought in a restaurant
    but taken away and eaten somewhere else
    eg at home: ၀ယ္ျပီး   ထုပ္ယူသြားေသာစားဖြယ္။
  ပါဆယ္။
    I'll go and buy a take-away. စားစရာ တစ္ခုခု၀ယ္ျပီး   ထုပ္ယူခဲ့မယ္။
2. a restaurant where such food is prepared and bought: ယင္းကဲ့သို႕   အစားအစာ ေရာင္းေသာဆိုင္။
    be taken up with to be busy or occupied with: အလုပ္႐ႈပ္ေနသည္။   အလုပ္မ်ားသည္။
    He's very taken up with his new job. လုပ္ငန္းအသစ္တြင္ သူ   အလြန္အလုပ္႐ႈပ္ေနသည္။
    be taken with/by to find pleasing or attractive: ႏွစ္လိုသည္။ သေဘာက်သည္။
    He was very taken with the village. သူသည္ ရြာကေလးကို   အလြန္သေဘာက်ေနသည္။
    take after to be like (someone, esp a parent or relation) in appearance or character: မိဘ၊   ေဆြမ်ိဳးႏွင့္ ႐ုပ္ခ်င္း၊   စ႐ိုက္ခ်င္းတူသည္။

    She takes after her father.  မိန္းကေလးရဲ႕႐ုပ္က   သူ႕အေဖဘက္ပါတယ္။
    take back
1. to make (someone) remember or think
    about (something): သတိရေစသည္။   ျပန္ေတြးမိေစသည္။
    Meeting my old friends took me back to my childhood.
  မိတ္ေဆြေဟာင္းမ်ားႏွင့္   ဆံုေတြ႕ရျခင္းသည္ ကၽြန္ေတာ္၏   ကေလးဘ၀ကို ျပန္ေျပာင္း   သတိရေစသည္။
2. to admit that what one has said is not true: စကားကို႐ုပ္သိမ္းသည္၊   ႐ုပ္သိမ္းေစသည္။
    Take back what you said about my sister! ငါ့ႏွမအေၾကာင္း   မင္းေျပာခဲ့တာ ျပန္႐ုပ္သိမ္းပါ။
    take down to make a note or record of: မွတ္သားသည္။ ေရးမွတ္သည္။
He took down her name and address. သူသည္ မိန္းကေလး၏   အမည္ ႏွင့္ လိပ္စာကို   ေရးမွတ္ထားသည္။
    take an examination/test to have one's knowledge or ability tested formally, often
    in writing. စာေမးပဲြေျဖသည္။
    take (someone) for to believe (mistakenly) that (someone) is (someone or something
    else): လူမွားသည္။
    I took you for your brother. မင္းကို မင့္အစ္ကိုနဲ႕   လူမွားသြားတယ္။
    take in
1. to include: အက်ံဳး၀င္သည္။
    Literature takes in drama, poetry and the novel. စာေပတြင္   ျပဇာတ္၊ ကဗ်ာ၊ ၀တၱဳတို႕   အက်ံဳး၀င္သည္။
2. to give (someone) shelter:      ေနစရာ ေနရာေပးသည္။
    He had nowhere to go, so I took him in. သူ႕မွာဘယ္မွ ေနစရာမ႐ွိလို႕   ကၽြန္ေတာ့္ဆီမွာ ေခၚထားတယ္။
3. to understand and remember: နားလည္သေဘာေပါက္သည္။
    I didn't take in what he said. သူေျပာတာကို ကၽြန္ေတာ္   နားမလည္ပါ။
4. to make (clothes) smaller:  အက်ႌအ၀တ္အစားကို   က်ဥ္းလိုက္သည္။
    I lost a lot of weight, so I had to take all my clothes in.   ကၽြန္ေတာ္ကိုယ္အေလးခ်ိန္   ေတာ္ေတာ္ေလ်ာ့သြားတယ္၊   ဒါေၾကာင့္အ၀တ္အစားေတြလည္း       က်ဥ္းပစ္ရတယ္။
5. to deceive or cheat: လိမ္လည္လွည့္ျဖားသည္။

    He took me in with his story. သူသည္ လုပ္ဇာတ္ခင္း၍   ကၽြန္ေတာ့္ကို လိမ္သည္။
    take it from me (that) you can believe me when I say (that):   ငါေျပာတာယံုစမ္းပါ။
    Take it from me-it's true. ငါေျပာတာ မင္းယံုပါ၊   တကယ္ပါ။
    take it into one's head (to) to decide (to): ဆံုးျဖတ္သည္။
    She took it into her head to go to Spain. သူသည္ စပိန္ႏိုင္ငံသို႕   သြားရန္ ဆံုးျဖတ္လိုက္သည္။

    take off
1. to remove (clothes etc):   (အ၀တ္အစားစသည္ကို)   ခၽြတ္သည္။
    He took off his coat.   သူကုတ္အက်ႌကို ခၽြတ္လိုက္သည္။
2. (of an aircraft) to leave the ground: (ေလယာဥ္) ေျမျပင္မွပ်ံတက္သည္၊   ထြက္ခြာသည္။
    The plane took off for Rome. ေလယာဥ္သည္ ေရာမျမိဳ႕သို႕   ထြက္ခြာသည္။
